why saliva is secreted when delecious food is smelt or seen.?
The saliva helps to breakdown all the starch and other compounds to sugars. So when we see or smell the delicious food, our brain perceives we will eat food and hence command the salivary glands to release the saliva in advance which we call mouth-watering.
A dead body floats with his head down. why?
When a dead body is place in a water,it’s volume increases and it displaces the water more than the weight of dead body. Due to this reason, the dead body floats in water but the head remains inside the water because it displaces water than its weight.

जब हामी लगाएको लुगा अचानक फुकाल्न खोज्छौं, हाम्रो शरिर र लुगा बिच घर्षण भई ताप शक्ती उत्पन्न हुन्छ जसले लुगामा भएका अणुहरुको स्थानान्तरण भई लुगामा रिणात्मक चार्ज उत्पन्न हुन्छ र शरिरमा धनात्मक चार्ज उत्पन्न हुन्छ । धनात्मक चार्ज ऋणात्मक चार्जतिर बहन थाल्दछ। जसले गर्दा लुगा शरिरतिरै टँसिन्छ। र उक्त चार्जको स्थानान्तरणले गर्दा लुगामा स्थिर बिद्युत उत्पन्न भइ लुगामा झिल्का उठेको जस्तो देखिन्छ ।
Why does light appear so suddenly when the cloth is suddenly removed (at night) and get stick to the body?
When we try to remove a clothes suddenly, our body produces frictional heat, which produces a negative charge by transferring the molecules in the clothes, and a positive charge occurs in the body. This causes the clothes to stick to the body. And the transfer of that charge seems to have caused the lightning to appear in the clothes.
The rear wheels of a tractor are made large and flat, why?
The rear wheels are made large and flst to reduce the pressure. It prevents the tyre from descending into the muddy land.
An iron nail sinks in water but a ship made up of iron floats, why?
The density of iron is more than that of water. Iron nail sinks in water because weight of the nail is greater than the weight of water displaced by it. But a ship made up of iron specially designed in such a way that the relative density of ship is always less than that of water.Therefore the weight of water displaced becomes equal to the weight of the ship and hence the ship floats.
Icebergs made up of water float in water, why?
The density of iceberg(0.917 g/cm३) is less than that of water(1 g/cm३). so iceberg(huge mass of ice) can displace the water equal to their weight. Therefore, icebergs float in water
Moon appears dim just before the eclipse. Why?
A lunar eclipse occur when earth lies between sun and moon and shadow of earth falls on moon. The light reflected from moon has been refracted by earth’s atmosphere. These refracted light appears raddish so the moon appears dim just before the eclipse.
Torricelli vacuum
Torricelli vacuum : A vacuum is created when a glass tube is filled by mercury and inverted in a vessel containing a level of mercury. The level of mercury from the tube falls down as allowed by the atmospheric pressure and vacuum is created at the bottom of the tube. It is called Torricelli Vacuum, it contains mercury vapour.
Body falls faster in poles and slowly in equator why?
Body falls towards earth due to gravity. The acceleration due to gravity is inversely proportional to the radius of the earth
. As we know that the earth is not perfectly spherical,so radius of earth in equator is greater than that in poles. So the value of ‘g’ is greater in poles. Thats why the earth pulls the body faster in poles.
